I saw that I could use BMP color maps the same as those I use for SBP. I used a Fire and a Shell map for this image. Rich

Been fiddeling. I still haven't been able to make a closed shape in XX. So, a little slicing. Rich
For some reason, my system doesn't show a fill until I click on the color line. Rich
Nice Effect rich ... how did you get the "leaded" look on the outline?

Ed,
I studied Gary's tutorial on Gold and Chrome colors, and use the correct Hue for metals. So, I don't use gray scale for lead, it is about 240 in Hue.
I took the line drawing and increased the line width. Then converted the line to shapes, and did some slicing.
In this way, I get a drawing of the fil areas separated by spaces, and a wide line drawing.
I exported these to PNG/alpha, and opened them in Photoshop. Borh images were lead color, and I tried the line image, but didn't like the color with the red and green image. I used SBP to modify the color to gold. Then used AutoFX Gel to get some shaping of the lines.
For the lead fill drawing, I just applied Gel effect to one image and a SBP preset to make a second image. Once I had all these pieces, I opened them in Xara X, and aligned them.

Imagine the ligh blue as transparent. When you have spaces between the areas, the bitmap effects will shape each area individually. And, you can use the alpha channel to load a selection. Rich
