Default Exporting site as .html files instead of .htm

    Hi all

Sorry if this is a bit of a "noob" question

I've had WD6 for a few months now and done a couple of sites
now but only just realised that it exports them in .htm format.

Is there a way of changing the default options to save as .html?

Also does it make any dirfference to search bots whether your
website files are .htm or .html?

    Thanks

    Gary

Makes no difference, you can rename the pages to .html within the program if you want to though.

    hi m8

    Thanks for the reply.

When you mention renaming the pages to .html within the program
do you have to do this for each page seperately or can you exoprt
all the pages as htmls in one action?

    Thanks

I believe when you export the Website and you put in the name, just add the letter L to the htm and you should be good to go.

Instead of just putting a name, add .html [as below] - you'll get a warning popup but ignore it. You'll have to do this for every page. But the default htm is no problem

Thanks for all the replys "peeps"

I've found that the best solution is when you're ready to export
your website to just add the .html extension at the end of your
default filename in the dialogue box.

For example mine is index.html but yours could be welcome.html,
default.html or home.html. WD6 will then automatically add the
.html extension to all the remaining pages of your site as its
    exporting them.
