    Default Background questions

    Hello,

    can anyone please help me:

I want use a background image which act like here:

    http://www.tencents.de/l4/

The original image is 2000 x 515 pixel sized in this sample here.

I did try to build this as a test with WD6, so that if browser goes to full size (full window) the image is scaled. But used as a page background or workspace background it does not work. Even when I use the tweakset (till background / do not tile background.

As you can see attached there are two background files used:

    1. the image
    http://s444.tencents.de/style/tencen...und_bottom.jpg

    2. a tilling background (stripe)
    http://s444.tencents.de/style/tencen...background.jpg

I enclude my .web file also

    Thanks for any help.

You have made your page size the same size as the background image.

Make your page size the actual size you want it. Open the Bitmap Gallery, hold down the Ctrl key and drag and drop the background image onto the background (not the page). And use the Tile Background Horizontally
    tweak.

Alternatively you can hold the Ctrl key and drag the bitmap from the desktop or Windows Explorer and drop it onto the pasteboard (the gray area of the screen).

Sorry, but so it did not work in my case

I attache you the sample. This is not the solution or I am wrong (?).

I did do a lot of search in my files and find something what solve my problem. I did find this some times before on TG (File: backgroundtester2-1) but lost somewhere. I attache you this also.

BUT NOW, my problem ist that I do not understand correctly how this working sample is made. Can anybody explain please? I realized that it is made with layers, but do not see how exactly.
