WordPress and Web Designer

I will be doing audio podcasting shows and blogging from our site.

My consultant is setting me up on WordPress, he is not famliar with Xara Web Designer.

I love Webdesigner 6 and intend to build a complete site not just for podcasting.

My question is:

Can I use Xara Web Designer 6 with WordPress for the podcasting and blogging?

No not really! Do a google search from this site on the topic. They are ways which you can but it is so convoluted as WordPress uses PHP files in a database it will be easier for you to learn how to use WordPress and style sheets. WD is for static web sites with no databases and has been designed in such a way that it is like using a DTP programme with no coding required. There are a huge number of sites which will show you through video and tutorials on how to construct a site and test it locally on your hard drive.
