Default WD6: Drop down menu on current page?

Okay, so I really want to be able to use the drop down menu for a page that I'm on.

For example: On the nav bar there is a button called Activities, with a drop down of Sailing, Surfing, Etc. The Activities link leads to an overview page, but on that page the drop down doesn't work- the link is disabled because I'm already on that page.

I figured out a workaround but it means that the nav bar button can have no link, and only the drop down items have links, and that's not really what I want.

    Am I missing something dumb?

I am not sure if this would work, but you can link to the current page (in essence refresh the page) by adding a pound symbol (#) in the Link > URL text entry box. The button will function and pressing the button will reload the page.

    Is that what you mean?

That should work, but it doesn't... the button is still highlighted and does nothing- no link, no drop down.

It's the nav bar from zcard, if that means anything.
