    Default Metalic extrusions

I came up with a quick and easy method for giving an extrusion a metalic look. I created my extrusion, made sure that gloss was on and adjusted the lights to brighten the face just a bit. Then I cloned the extrusion and applied the add noise distortion filter, adjusting the sliders and making sure that coloured is ticked. Lastly I gave the clone a stained glass transparency of about 12 %

Thanks Guys! @Bill(soquili) That looks good! The same technique can be used with non extruded objects just as easily, and if you use named colours you can have a colour changeable metalic finish as the live effect will re-draw (just make sure you haven't locked it)
