    Smile Out of Bounds Pic

    Hi everyone,

This is my first time at TalkGraphics even though I've been using Xara for a long time so this is a tentative "toe in the water" post.

The photograph was taken at the Chinese Gardens at Darling Harbour in Sydney. The OOB was created using PaintShop Pro.

OK - let's click "Submit New Thread" and see what happens

Great image Peter! Welcome to TG too! If you do some searching here there are a number of OOB threads using Xara Xtreme

I see you are an Xtreme 5 user also?
I have to say that this sort of image is very easily done in Xtreme.
Unlike PSP, photo editing like this is non-destructive in Xtreme.

As suggested by John, have a look aroond at other OOBs

Thumbs up Re: Out of Bounds Pic

Welcome to TalkGraphics, Peter. I think your 'toe in the water' has made a big 'splash'. That's a great looking OOB photo manipulation. Nicely done.

Here's another thread that's theme is Photo Fun - Single Picture Collage Effect but also includes a multi-panel single picture collage OOB in post #28.

Don't be afraid, dive in, the water is warm and friendly here at TG.

    Post away,
    Harry

Red face Re: Out of Bounds Pic

Thanks for the welcome & the links - busy following up now but just wanted to drop in to say how Harry's Collage post made me realise how I couldn't see the wood for the trees. Yesterday I was creating a flier for our local market featuring some photos I took on Saturday. Would you believe I added a white border by cloning the photo, flat filling it with white, increasing its size, moving it back, jiggling the control points until all looked ok? All the time muttering to myself how much easier borders were in PSP!

    Peter

PS ... I forgot to mention the grouping step!
