Design Gallery stopped working

All of a sudden my design gallery in version 6 is unavailable. it also seems to crash xp whenever I try to open design gallery and closing program.

Has anyone else experienced this ? What could be a possible solution ?

The windows error I get is a serious systems error - (crash)


Ant help would be greatly appreciated. I am considering re-installing XWD

Do you have to actually reboot your machine as a result of the error ?

I have not experienced the problem you mentioned but, uninstalling and reinstalling makes perfect sense as a first step.

As John said, an uninstall then reinstall should fix the problem.

You can also try deleting the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Xara\WebDesigner\6.0 registry tree.

This will remove the tree from your registry. Open Web Designer 6 and it will rebuild the registry tree for you.

If the problem is due to a corrupt registry tree it will be fixed using uninstall or the deleting of the registry tree.
