    Default Default font size

    Is there any way of changing the default font size.

    Currently all my projects open in Arial 13

    * Open a new document
    * Click on the Text tool - but don't type anything
    * Set font required and font size - click SET on dialogue pop-ups
    * FILE >> save template
    * Remember to click the square Use as default template

    You can set various defaults this way

    Ah, thanks. However what happens if I already has a website and want to change the default to something other than the one I stsrted with?

    When you select the Text tool and alter font or font size you'll get the dialogue box [see below]. Click Set and that will be the default for the session - i.e. until you save & close the file. If you do this on a blank file and save as template it will be the default everytime you open a new file.

    EDIT Just seen in your other post that you're using Web Designer 6, the dialogue box will look like the second image below

    Must be doing something wrong.
    Tried all you suggested, but no pop up dialogue.

    Mind you I have seen it before, and ignored it, but it hasn't appeared under the circumstances you describe.

    When you click on the Text tool icon, are you then clicking on the page? If so, don't! Go straight from the Text tool to altering the values in the info bar. This works ... or it should. From your other post it seems you're having problems with the User Interface [hence those squares]. I think you should re-install Web Designer, making sure any .web files you've made are backed up of course.

    Thanks for your suggestion. I uninstalled and reinstalled, but there is no difference to the strange charater phonomenon

    However that popup dialogue did appear not only for the new doc, but also on the existing project.

    Maybe someone will come up with something for the other issue.

    Thanks for the help on the font default stuff.
