Nothing lasts forever...
How could I not comment in this thread?
First of all, we are born with all the rights we will ever need. There is no authority on this planet which can give us any rights we do not already have. All they can do is seek to deny us our rights and in this endeavour they have been increasingly successful.
Remember 'permits' and 'licences' do not give you any rights. What they do is re-instate the rights you already had before it was denied you by those who charge you for these bits of paper.
The anti-terrorism laws ... well, we have a right not to divulge personal information. Are we to be deemed trouble-makers or terrorist suspects simply for choosing to legitimately exercise our rights?
Openly photographing can hardly be reasonable cause for suspicion. Attempting to hide one's activities may be reasonable (though not necessarily just) cause for suspicion.
We are photographed and filmed constantly by the 'authoritas', without our permission, yet we are considered suspects for photographing or filming them?
Some speak of co-operation. Why co-operate with what is not working?
Our police seem to have lost their way; it seems they are more concerned with arrests and convictions for alleged crimes than they are with preventing crimes.
The lawmakers do not always make laws which benefit the people. Sometimes they make laws which benefit only themselves. The police will receive the benefit of my co-operation when it comes to the former but not the latter.
"Intbel" ... "Can't" is not an option.
Compliance is futile. Resistance is futile. Just do your own thing an' ignore 'em.
