I remember that Magix photo designer came as a freeby with one of the Xara Xtreme versions but which one? I have it installed on my present computer but just got a new one and need to install it.
thanks!

It's installed as part of the CD installation.
There's no seperate single installer for it.
Once you have run the setup for Xtreme 5 you will find it:
C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Xtreme Pro 5\XtremePhoto
You can select it to be your default bitmap editor via the Options>>Photo Editing
Installation doesn't create an uninstaller for it.

You can also get to the MAGIX Photo Designer via the Start Menu.
See attached image by clicking on the thumbnail.

Thanks much, that's what I thought. I'm trying to get things moved over to a new iMac and using Windows 7 through VM Fusion. I'll have to try it again from the CD, didn't see anything about installing that when I did it a couple of days ago.
No you won't either Dennis.didn't see anything about installing that when I did it a couple of days ago.
There is no mention of or user option to install (or not) XMPD. It's done as part of the Xtreme installation automatically. No user action requested.
Hey, there it is! Thanks for the information!
