    Well, I do need the practice but it'll take some time to uncross my eyes so perhaps not now!

    The technique I have used is to copy strips slightly enlarged of the shoreline and then give them a soft edge, with a layer mask to blend in with the original background. It is possible to do the same job in Xara making use of soft edges

    Hey Vinny try this I duplicated the tree layer in photoshop using the clone tool filled in the smudged areas, then finally dropped the opacity of the 2nd layer a bit then flattened it
    hope this helps

    although i think rtw definitely had a better result!
