JIm,
As I suggested, too confident. For the life of my I cannot get rid of the thin white lines today but am positive I'm doing exactly what I was doing (successfully) yesterday. See attached.

Make the bitmap copy True Color, not True Color + Alpha. Works for me, see attached.
Also, be sure and check the Bitmap size before exporting.
Jim
It's quite strange. Sometimes it works and other times not. I can't nail down what I do differently. It's not the Alpha thing. It works with or without (like yesterday). I'll keep trying to work it out. Any chance there could be a glitch in the program? Dave
Are you using version 5.1.2? Also make sure the original is located on whole pixels. I think this was something that was supposed to have been addressed in the newest update.
Jim
Dave you are not using the latest version of Xtreme.
Your file shows Xara Xtreme 5.1.0.9131 DL
Please install from the CD and then run Help>>Update Program
I guess you figured out the problem. I didn't even know I had forgotten/didn't know I had to install the CD.
It's now installed and updated. The fill thing seems to work correctly. Now I'm curious why it DID work correctly earlier.
Thanks for your patience. Always handy for dealing with your terminally slow, but well-intentioned. Like me.
Dave
PS: I always remember another helper (another program) once saying: "Use the other right button." to me once. It worked!!!! How slow can a guy get?
Before the update the way to fix the problem were the steps I suggested. You may have intentionally or unintentionally had the right combination (or not). doesn't really matter at this point as long as it works.
Jim
Some factors that can cause white lines when exporting backgrounds:
Line width not set to none.
X Y W or H settings not set to whole pixel numbers.
aridzone, this has been fixed in the latest update version of Xtreme 5.X Y W or H settings not set to whole pixel numbers
Export the non-whole-pixel shape in the attached file as PNG, bring the PNG back into the doc, delete it then open the bitmap gallery. Select the PNG and click the 'Background' button. The shape fills the page without lines showing.
