Sponsi I have moved your question regarding Polish characters to a new 'Dear Xara..' thread.
Please do not change topics in older threads - also please remember that the Dear Xara.. forum is not intended for lenghty discussions or debates.
sledger sorry and thanks
covoxer... well.. I have had problems with this character for a long time. Alt+c reates copyright sign for me.. I mentioned that somewhere else and someone backed me, so I'm probably not the only one..
Do you know any solutions for this?
With default Windows Polish keyboard layout you have the "ś" and "ć" letters on the same key. It's the English "]" key. Simple press enters "ś", and with Shift you get "ć".
You probably mean Ctrl+Alt+c?Alt+c

John.
Probably 99 per cent of Polish computer users use normal US keyboards together with "Polish programmer's" keyboard setting in Windows (so do I).. so I don't have any ś or ć on my keyboard.. the usual combination is Alt + c for ć and Alt + s for ś (the right Alt).. and yes, I know that it should be Ctrl + Alt + c to create copyright.. but it IS Alt + c.. without Ctrl.. and this really sucks..
Come on, I'm not that dumb : ) it is a bug, no kidding.
So you are using "AltGr+c" with Polish (programmers) keyboard. Alt+c doesn't work this way.
Technically speaking it is not a bug. AltGr is equivalent to Ctrl+Alt so the documented Ctrl+Alt+c hotkey is activated. Still this is an issue for everyone who relies on this combination.
Thank you for explaining about layouts used in Poland.
John.
What is AltGr? I meant clean Alt all the time...
We normally use Alt + c (the right Alt) in every possible software and it either produces ć or nothing.. but very rarely something totally different...
Alt + c = ć
Alt + s = ś
Alt + a = ą
Alt + e = ę
Alt + l = ł
Alt + o = ó
Right now I used right Alt + something to produce these characters...
I thought you were Polish or half Polish or something ; )

Ok, so this is not a problem if you have XtremePro. Open main menu "Utilities / Customize key short-cuts...". In the dialog switch "Command Categories:" to "Text Tool" and in the "Commands:" list select "Insert a copyright symbol". Now you can reassign different short-cut or simply clear it.
John.
Wow, so the right Alt is actually AltGr.. never heard of that before and I do have some serious experience with computers..
I have Xtreme, but not Pro... : (
So it's up to Xara if they correct it...
