Hello John, i have already an important question. I can manage it to put the graphics on the layers you have created for the dynamic page. But there is a problem with my design. I have a grey rectangle and also a white rectangle with rounded corners in the middle ( where the placeholder will appear). When the content in the placeholder is bigger than the given space, the 2 rectangles have to stretch vertically down. How to do that? Thanks.

You'll have to slice this rectangle on two (three actually).
The bottom part, which has to move down with content gowth should be placed on the footer layer.
The top part, on the main layer.
And another one, the middle part that will stretch, has to be a background.
If it's not enough I'll give you some exaples tomorrow, it's getting late here.

    Hi John,

hope not to bother you too much on Sunday, but i need your help. Here you get the dynamic page design without navigation. I donīt know how to transform your placeholder html code of the content area into one with tables (this is required). So iīve copied and pasted the old one and moved yours into the OFF area. Can your code eventually be integrated to mine? Thanks

    Not that background of course.
Here the quotation from the manual.htm:
The footer part and stretchy background are implemented similarly to the Sticky footer tweak.
Following the link to the Sticky footer you find this:
As the page can stretch vertically if the browser window is high and
footer moved down, you may want to have a background image that
will stretch to the new window size. There is an example background
image in the template. You may either adjust the existing image, or
delete it and create your own background.
The background has to be a single graphical object (may be a group).
you have to add following name to it: “my_background”.
You can’t have more than one background objects of this type. But you
can have have none if you wish.
The background image is always stretched to the actual bottom of the
    browser widow.
    Have you seen this?

I donīt know how to transform your placeholder html code of the content area into one with tables (this is required).
Here's what is written in the manual.htm:
On the “MouseOff” layer you’ll find the placeholder rectangle for the dynamic content. Resize and place it in your design to represent the lowest possible area used by the content.
Open placeholder code (Web properties dialog / Placeholder tab), and replace dummy php code “<?php ?>” with your dynamic content.
In other words, replace <?php ?> with your content (whatever those guys give you).

Wow John, thanks a lot. This looks great now. Sorry for not reading directly the in the manual about the sticky footer, but i was already overcharged with the dynamic page tweak. This is all new to me and i have to learn how to handle this. But i think that iīm beginning to understand..
Now i will paste the navigation buttons on the mouse off layer and add some text lines. Will this have any effect on the rest of the design?
Anyway, you are really a big helper and i hope that this thread will be useful to other users of XWD. For me itīs the best web design software available.
