    Default how do you make an object longer but not bigger?

    hi. this is really hard from me. how to i make an object longer with out making it wider? this is especially hard when doing thing diagonally.

    click on show selection handles as shown in the screenshot the simply click and drag on the center selection handle on the top or bottom.

    By "longer", do you mean "taller"?

    If so, you can do it a couple of ways.

    First, as angelize says, you can simply drag the center control handle on the top or bottom of the object.

    Or, you can turn off the Lock Aspect Ratio button (the little padlock icon) on the standard control bar and enter the height you want in the H field. Or use the up and down arrows to the right of the field to adjust the height.

    If you drag diagonally, you'll always change both the height and width.
