Another problem

I am having another issue with Web Designer.

I managed to publish my site and noticed a couple of typos I had previously overlooked. After correcting them, I went on to publish the corrected version. Since then I get several messages that upload has timed out (even though my PC is a fairly new one and I have fast broadband connection)... sometimes the upload is aborted at 5% of the process sometimes at 85%.

Now when I finally got the site published, one of the pages which is my main index page, that was published fine originally, just does not show up on the screen.

I use domain.com to host my domain and they can see all pages of my site except for the index (home) page.

Also, is there a number I can call for tech support?

Hi Dan,

Start page shows fine here.


Though you appear to have used main.htm as the starting page (which loads by default).
Also present is a default.htm which you have created with "Web Easy Professional"

There is no .index.htm on the server, but as files are being called from main_htm_files folder, I assume you didn't name the project output as index?

your home page should really be called either index or default.

Can I ask why are you using a landing page?

Works fine for me, so you must have fixed it.

The problem with a landing page is that it does not give a search engine very much information.

Your home page is much better.

Landing pages used to be a good idea because they loaded quickly. But your home page loads very fast and so the landing page is really not necessary.
