I've tried with white circular transparency but it just doesn't get there.
Thanks ahead for your prompt attention both now and many times before.

I'm not sure if in Web Designer the Mould tool and Live Effects tool are available.
If they are, experiment with both. In Live Effects, look for the Deformation Filter: Dent/Bump.
Failing this, If you have Paintshop Pro or Photoshop, they both have a spherize filter.
Saludos,
Bob.

Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read. Groucho Marx.
Gramps your result looks reasonable to me.
Mould tool and Live Effects are not available in Web Designer. Neither is the blend tool which is very good for making a bitmap appear spherical.
As Bob says, maybe a job for a different applcation.
There's a video on Xhris' youtube page showing how to create spherical objects - there's also one about making water droplets that incorporates the same sort of idea. Maybe those will give you some ideas.
But again, the required tools Xhris uses in his HD videos are not available in Web Designer. (freehand tool, blend too for example)
