Design gallery items missing from XWD

In XP5 Pro, I miss the many icons and buttons I had in XWD's design gallery, and the tweaks. Or am I missing where they are?

Hi Tom,

X5 does not look for or add Web Designers gallery files automatically.
You will need to add designs via the 'Get Designs' and 'Disc Designs' buttons from the Designer Gallery.


Browse to the Web Designer 'Clipart' folder and choose 'Add'

Note; You will also need to repeat this for the Tweaks folder.

Thanks, that worked. Are the tweaks a part of 5? I

Just saw you last sentence. For some reason I can't get the tweaks into the design gallery. Did it work for you?

Yes - no problems.
Following the same processes as above (for the WD Clipart folder)
Select the 'Tweaks' folder location and then press 'Add'.

Did that a few times and all I get is the link to the file location, not the folder....hmm

Yes that's normal (atm) that's just the folder title, the tweaks are still there.

There's a bug in version 5 that doesn't update the registry with the #DESCRIPTION. So yes, it will show the folder path in the Designs Gallery

Oh..man...expanding the window for sure helped, they are all there. I have a tweaks folder in XWD's gallery, that's what threw me off!
