Hi supaegnt,
Welcome to Talkgraphics.
You must export your Xara3D creation as a gif, jpg, or png for use on the web or in other applications.

Welcome supaegnt,
I don't know a great deal about printing but X3D has a size limit on export of 2000 pixels so anything you exported would be limited to this and at 96 ppi resolution. So much will depend on your sign size and required definition.
X3D exports as bitmaps as per the attached screen grab. Although it uses vectors to create the image you can't export as vectors apart from the vector swf option and this is not ideal.
Edit: see Bill beat me to it ;-)

Screen printing needs colour separations doesn't it? (one screen per colour)
it does requires color sep if you want it in colors,i starting out with 1color in both vinyl & screenprinting.
thanks
I have been a screenprinter for 30 yrs ...
from my knowedge you can only use an image created in 3D as a process
separated images..no vectoring...
all seps I use would be thru PhotoShop.
I have always exported as outlined above and then converted the resulting bitmap to CMYK in either Photoshop or Corel DRAW.
Not perfect by any stretch and some colour changes will be almost inevitable. You'll also end up with a maximum image size of around 6 and a half inches at 300dpi.
