I work with lots of graphics that are surrounded by objects we have to get rid of. I have started to use the extract feature to drop backgrounds. I want to use my history brush after the extraction - but I get the following message - "Could not use the history brush because the current canvas or image size does not match that of the history state." I opened the image from a cd, cropped the object I need, save, then extract. I never changed the canvas. Other Macs in the department do not get this message - what have I done? Thanks in advance!

" I opened the image from a cd, cropped the object.."

    "Cropping the object"
Cropping usually involves changing the canvas size.
What exactly are you doing and calling it cropping if you are not changing the size of the canvas?
