Thanks Cleverly, the site seems to be getting a good response. We would have loved to give your in-laws a quote for renos but you're right, Texas is a little out of our area - lol. I'll be sure to check out the Jotforms soon.

I'm now trying to find info on how to redirect the previous site (seems to still be getting a little traffic ), so visitors won't get the "404 Page Not Found" message. If anyone has info on that, please share.

Most people just do the second version:

I have been reluctant to join this thread as I have a few issues with moving over from XXP4 to XWD.

When I initially opened my .xar files in WD I discovered that all my layers where reduced to one, so obviously web designer does not respect the "Mouse" layers from XXP and the loss of the Guides layer was a bit of a shock. Fortunately I have a twin screen set-up so I could copy & paste between the two packages.

The problem I have yet to solve is how get a link to open a new page without loosing the source page. I have signed up to Xara's referral "Made with Xara Web Designer" service, but if the visitor gets taken away from my clients web site, I'm not going to win any repeat work.

For anyone who is interested, this is my first site fully created in XWD.

I don't think you have any right to put any referral onto a clients web site in any case. Many clients are happy with "web design by XXX" but to add your own Xara referral link as well seems a step too far. Your client might also wonder why they are paying you to make the website when XWD clearly makes website design a simple job and can be purchased so cheaply..

    hey guys...

Took me about 3 half days to make this site. Not 100% finished yet, but good enough to go live for me. Completely new to Web designer, basic knowledge of Xara.

I used a template - I think it looks great!

    Welcome to TG Forums,

    You've done a great job.
The size of the fonts used on page: http://www.agoodrepair.com/repair.htm are a bit 'eBay' (if you know what I mean).

Otherwise good clean layout, easy to navigate and fast loading.

Hello everyone here is a site I did for a local organization. We will eventually be adding more to the site, but for now everyone seems pretty pleased.
