just uninstalled and then reinstalling but I've had no luck. Still crashes on startup.
Anyone have any other ideas?

Unfortunately Sony disable Intel hardware virtualisation on their laptops so I cannot use the Virtual Windows XP mode in Windows 7! Why oh why do Sony do this? I have a dual core 2 duo T9300 but cannot run virtual xp! I have found some site offering hacked bios code but that seems a little dangerous.
Xara, it's down to you to fix this! Help please.
Andrew
Andrew did you install Xtreme using XP compatibility or Vista compatibility?
Using Vista compatibility works for me.

I have tried right clicking on the Xara icon and tried XP and Vista compatabiliy mode all with no luck. Is that what you mean?
Andrew
Sorry Andrew that isn't what I mean. When installing on Windows 7 you select the compatibility mode before the program is installed.

Yes I've tried that as well. No luck.
I've just worked out you can still run Virtual PC 2007 on Windows 7 if you uninstall both Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP Mode first.
Hopefully this will allow me to create a Vista virtual PC and install Xara in that.

OK, I found some time to do a full clean install of Windows7 RC (Build 7100)
I also just installed XtremePro 4 from the CD (full install)
I set the installer to Vista Compatability mode and ran setup.exe as Admin.
The setup proceeded fine and launched Xtreme where it asked for my serial number. This was entered and Xtreme continued without a problems.
I tried several operations, exited and started again without any crashing.
I then installed the 5601 4th July update (as admin) and relaunched Xtreme afterwards without any crash.
Of course I took the precautions of setting Vista compat' mode and running as Admin based on previous experience and this thread.
I hope this helps.

By this I assume you mean you right clicked on setup.exe Selected Properties and then ticked "Run this program in compatability mode for" and selected "Windows Vista". Ticked "Run this program as administrator" and clicked OK. You then launched setup.exe.
If so, this is exactly what I have tried. The only difference I can think of is my machine is a Vista upgrade (which was previously running Xara).
Is there a tool to clear out all registry settings?
