I should just explain that these mud maps are the internal workings of what you would call an RV Park but the difference is that these Holiday Parks are just for travellers, holiday makers and are so popular at school holiday time you have to book ahead to get in.

The colour helps break up the map into areas so that when a manager from the park is on the phone with the customer, they can easily point out areas that are say, by using the road, deluxe cabins, ensuite cabins, camping areas etc etc. This is very handy for customers so they can see where they will be staying when booking a cabin or camping spot.

We use "mudmap" as a term of reference to a rough drawing, as the country is already broken into states and regions...and it gets confusing if we do not use this term in the office as we do mapping in other areas with this type of business.

This is just one of those jobs that someone in the office has to do - you don't always get thanks for it...someones gotta do it though to get paid! LOL
