Hi Bob, thanks for those comments!
Now that you've jogged my memory, I remember that post and mine is not going to come anywhere close to it! Grin.
Anyway here are a couple of blue bottles showing the lines thru the blue colour...no they're not jellyfish, Steve!
All the best
Michele

Thats great steve j, I liked that one too - I think it was the contrasting colours against the shadows that made it look somehow more solid perhaps.
Well I know what's on your mind Steve! Mmm the colour is similar to the turkish delight wrapper come to think of it. Grin. Wonder how that would go as a drink??
I like the blue ones a lot, Michele. I know this is dragging the purpose of the challenge a little further off topic than it already is, but now you are this far along the road,
you could give the blue and pink ones some highlights that would increase the glass effect and at the same time would reduce the Turkish Delight® or Jello® effects.
Saludos,
Bob.

tHATS GReat...my whole motivation in starting this thread was to see what people can do when they are forced not to trace...
Once the initial "gesture" sketch is done then the main aim of the exercise has been fulfilled (getting the proportions sorted without sketching) but that doesnt mean your design is completed.... a sketch is just a beginning and ultimately the most exciting part is seeing a cool sketchy design carried on to its inevitable conclusion...hot stuff

These are really very good, Michele, great illustrations.
I feel privileged to have been able to watch them grow.

Bob.

I agree it is great to see the illustrations carried through Michele - thanks
However - I am not an illustrator, I'm a freehand artist, and the freehand artist in me still prefers the left hand one post #28, because to me it has more the look of glass about it....
