    Default opening .ai files

Anyonehelp with this? It's probably me doing something wrong.

If I save a file as an .ai file, I cannot import it again into Xara Xtreme but can open it in Illustrator. Get the message there is no filter for these files and Xara Xtreme tries to open the file but fails. Do I have a filter missing

    Hi Jamie,

No you aren't missing an import filter. I get the same message on every machine I've used to tested Xtreme 4.0. The import filter requires version 8 I believe and the export filter creates a newer version I'm assuming.

Glad to help even if it was a negative type of answer.

I keep a version of Illustrator installed just to test the Xtreme exported files.
