There is a font that comes pretty close to the one used in the logo, Friz Quadrata. The As are different and the Ls. And some of the serifs are different. But to the untrained eye they are the same font. The designer may have used a font that was a version of Friz or he or she may have modified some of the characters.

Info Re: Shrinking a logo makes it pixelate?

Another font that is close is ITC Elan. It has the pointed As.

Check out this page in Identifont http://tinyurl.com/ckpvoc

It has similar fonts to Friz Quadrata. None of the fonts are quite the same as the one on the logo which makes me think that was Friz Quadrata modified by the designer.

    thanks guys,

as i said in a previous post in this thread the font in our logo is called "SHANGO REGULAR".

It is a genuine font and not a modified version of another one. i think i have it coming to me for windows now so fingers crossed.

Neil - The font on that logo is not SHANGO REGULAR. Not even close.

    hmmm... thats wierd then,

because when he did our logo etc he supplied me with the files along with the font file. I'll have to contact him and do some investigating.

Actually very similar Gary, though SHANGO BOLD is more like the type used on the button.

Curious if it should read 'girl's FC' instead of 'girls FC'.

    Girls FC is correct.

Girl's would mean it belonged to the girls rather than it being for the girls.

I respectfully beg to differ Steve - Compare the red highlighted characters to the logo. The logo font is straight sided. The serifs are even. The font you posted is more elegant and more a classical Roman font. True some of the characters are drawn in a similar fashion. Compare the serifs on the H. The leg on the R is very tapered and elegant in the font you posted, it is stumpier on the logo. Compare the thick and thin aspects of the characters. The O's are a good example. The thick and thins on the logo font are much more contemporary and subtle. Your font is more elegant and exaggerated.

This is not the font. Not even close really.

Hmm, it looks to me like a SHANGO REGULAR with some kind of contour applied (to make it bolder). It is definitely not SHANGO BOLD because SHANGO BOLD has only vertical sides bolder unlike the font on the logo.
