Corel Corp announced today they purchased Jasc.
Is that good news or bad? Personally, I feel they should focus on improving their products, rather than playing monopoly with various apps.

So what will the relationship be between PSP and PhotoPaint?
.joroho.
Wise men still seek Him.
Yet, rather oddly, Jasc's website is silent
Jon
If this is true, then it's a bad news for PSP.
Remember what Corel did to Xara?
And to Designer?
And now imagine what they will do with PSP, the needless alternative to Photopaint...
From this point PSP is dead http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

... yes, if there will be any 'next-generation Paint Shop products'... http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/frown.gif
John.
There probably will but the program will go from a 100mb file to 400mb http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
oh well http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/frown.gif

Yes, and from the $130 to $400 http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
I think that Corel does not realy like to keep competing products growing up. Why to support PSP for $130 if it is much more profitable to kill it and continue to sell Corel PhotoPaint for any price? Adobe is far, far more expensive $600...
I whish I was wrong, but I think it's a good day to die for PSP.
Amen! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/frown.gif
