Pretty neat little monster. I doubt the likeness is very accurate rendition of your wife...
of you....?
nice one
its good it the live paint - although the auto gap is a bit finicky - perhaps I've not got the hang of it yet - still prefer xara for coloring
but illustrator live trace on pencil drawings every time

the relation to xara is that i do nearly everything in xara for about 10 years now but i'm really tempted by illustrator look and feel, the tools, vektor plugins ...
if they would implement the possibilty to draw and reshape lines the way xara does and if the had the alt-click-select-below thing i sadly would change.
in office a collegue asked about a wavy line in illustrator which he couldn't find and i had a look and found a filter. it did a nice water like wave line and i though about the amount of time to do it in xara by hand and was amazed. the i added a roughen filter to the line and it made some kind of amplitude wave line of it.
very cool if you do vector stuff.
i don't want to complain constantly - i just think its good to watch and talk about the competition.
bb,

Very colourful monster, FLy. Kind of reminds me of that movie Alien.
Awesome. I love it. Reminds me a bit of my favorite animation, Yellow Submarine.

Firstly I like your monster wife a really cute.
Why not post it in the bowels of this forum in the Adobe Illustrator topic board as it really needs the input. On the point of Live Paint and Live Trace once you have got the settings that works on closing the gap keep then handy as if you use the same type of pen or pencil for your drawings you can get consistent results.
Design is thinking made visual.
Thanks Peter - I'll get the hang of it sooner or later
