Starting Xara 3D

I must be stupid, BUT How do you get the heading 3D6 off so I can put my own design on? I am new at this and need all the help I can get. Thanks

Hi Monessen1932,

Welcome to Talkgraphics.

To put your own text in either Show the Text Cursor or open the Text Options. See attached image.

Use standard Windows text editing:
Backspace key will delete to the left of the cursor
Delete key will delete to the right of the cursor
Shift plus an Arrow key will select
Arrow key will move the cursor

adding to what Bill has said, regarding resetting the default:

open xara3D
ctrl+a to select all then click delete
then click on the x on the left hand side bar to remove the ring - this just leaves you the cursor bar

now save the blank document as default and it will be used in future when you first open xara3D instead of the original

it will open completely blank without the cursor bar - Bill's image shows the button for this, or you can use ctrl+e

Hey Monessen. You are not stupid. I had ther same problem, and got no help from the help file. I just stumbled on it. thanks to Soquili and handdrawn I now know the right way
