Ok, so what does one do with thermal paste ? I am not familiar with this substance. Is it used for ones bottom?

I did think of a reply, but had better not..
It's put onto the top of a processor chip (a very small amount) and is the sandwich filling between the processor chip and heatsink. It ensures efficient heat transfer from the processor chip to the heatsink to try and keep the processor as cool as possible.
Hence the name Artic Silver.
It may also be used on other chips that get very hot (such as graphics processors and the like).

Well done, Bob.
