    Default More cones

Rather than continue the thread that started the cones topic, I've started a fresh one, as this one is going in other but still cone-related directions.

I started playing with the cone I made, and seeing what else I could get from it, and, boy, did I get a surprise! Just playing with the different bevels and extrusion values gave plenty of interesting images, four of which I have attached. I have also attached the x3d file for anyone wanting to play with it.

Great images, Mike. The one at top left looks a lot like a wicker-work basket.

Thanks, Bob, four more cones. The top left is the basic cone I started from, 36 lines, swung in increments of 10 degrees from the initial position (you actually have to type in double that, as the Swing value includes the full arc of swing from side to side) around the y-axis, extrusion of 1, no bevel. Top right just increases the extrusion to about 3 or 4 to fully overlap the lines to fill the gaps, and the other two start to play with more extreme values.

By the way, if you load the X3D file, it will run the Swing animation, so be sure to pause it on frame 2 to see the static cone.

    Nice work Mike,
Some of them even look like photographs due to the clever lighting.
