In Xara, white in an image used for bitmap transparency will cause full transparency, and black full opacity. Gray gives a variation. BMT will use anything in the bitmap gallery regardless. I made a texture and saved it to JPG. Opening the image will place it in the bitmap gallery. I used the texture layer twice. In BMT, you have position, size, rotation, profile and transparency type. You can make a bitmap copy, and apply another texture. Only one at a time.
