    Smile Bubble Container

A few years ago, I drew a bubble container in Photoshop, and as I was looking through my archives, I came across it. Back then, the transparency tools in Corel Draw were far more primitive than they are now. Using the updated Corel X3, I've finally recreated the container in Corel Draw. Everything was drawn in Corel Draw apart from the blue background which was created in Photoshop. As a new user to Xara, I'm going to try and recreate it in Xara and compare the results.

    Nice drawing Stu.

I don't see anything there that Xara isn't capable of.

The background would be possible but difficult I think.
    Nice Image BTW.

Stu here is a quick attempt, about 30 minutes in Xara Xtreme.

The second attachment has a bitmap copy of the drawing overlaid with an elliptical stained glass transparency. 100% transparency in the center and 0% at the perimeter.

Cheers Bill, great work, I'll try that in Xtreme when I get chance. The transparency tools in Xara seem more adaptable than Corel. On your image, you can see more of the background through the glass, which is more like my original I drew in Photoshop.

    Cheers,

    Stu.

    Thanks Stu.

Here is another variation I made last night before going to work.

I used the Alien Skin Xenofex 2 Electrify and Lightening effects.
