Corel DRAW : this file is read only?

I have created a multipage cdr file containing list of names . For easy working, have used graph paper tool to give a look of a table. the problem is, whenever i try to edit the file, an alert message " this file is read only, save to another file name ?'' appears. Why is this problem ? how to solve this ? can somebody help ?

If the file is read only, then you need to navigate to the file in Windows Explorer, right click, select properties and uncheck the read only box (Shown below).

When i verified as per your suggestion, i found that there was no tick mark in read only box...how to go about....

Okay then, it seems as though the file may be corrupt.

You can try to copy the file to a new location and save over that one....see if that works.
