Default The quest for the sphere

I have tried to create a sphere with various 2D graphics tools: Coreldraw, Illustrator, Xara and Inkscape. To date every attempt has failed. My closest try has been to revolve a curved line in Illustrator and get a pumpkin shape with a gap in the middle. My only success has been in 3D Blender.

    Can Xara name a sphere?

I have been trying for 6 MONTHS to find a 2D program that can make spheres. Am I a geometric Quixote chasing the wind and running myself around in circles that will never lead to the spherical land of paradise?

And if you say Quixote as "quickzote" then shameon you!

And there is also the Gary blend way, if you don`t want to use the plug-in.

I'd completely forgotten how well Gary's blend method works. Thanks for the reminder. Attached is my effort, and the bitmap fill I used.

    You probably have Xara 3D.
If so you can make a nice sphere with it.
