    Default Exporting Flash and HTML

Must say I really love that one can make Web pages with Xara 4.

I did have a question though.

I can't seem to make a good Web page using flash and mixed graphics.

    Sorry can't be more informative.

Let's say I put a Flash banner on top of the page and some text and graphics below the banner.

Shouldn't I be able to save the page as htm or html?

    Thank you for any advice.

Oh, and the folder that it appears to make with exported file, do I need to utilize the contents of that folder when I upload to my Website?

Hi regular and welcome to TalkGraphics. If I understand your question correctly here's how to go about it.

1: Create your web page in XXP4. Place a grey rectangle on the top of your page where the banner is going to be and note it's size. This will be your Flash banner "placeholder". Continue and add your text and graphics below this.

Now select the Flash placeholder, select the Name tag icon to create a new name and type in FLASH="banner.swf". Save your site and export as html.

2: Open up a New Animation page in XXP4 and set the page size (Under Utilities / Options) to the same size as the previously created Flash placeholder. Create your animation and export the swf as "banner.swf" to the same sub folder that XXP4 created for the web site.

When the site is run in a browser the grey placeholder will be replaced by your Flash animation. The placeholder doesn't need to be grey, it's just easier to see it.

    Hope this helped.

NOTE There's a spelling mistake on the screengrab below. It should read FLASH="banner.swf" and NOT FASH
