    Cool Changing Opacity

Me again, I plan to view as many tutorials as possible and have viewed several but if you could help me out with this, it would be a HUGE help.

Anyhow, in Photoshop I was able to change the opacity of a layer. In Xara I can make objects partially transparent although I haven't figured out how to make them totally transparent; that is to say I can get part of the object but not the whole thing. Plus I seem to be limited to how transparent something is and I want it to be more transparent than what the slider gives me.

If anyone can help me out or point me to a specific tutorial on this I would really appreciated.

    Thanks

I'm thinking you're dragging across an object with the transparency tool - don't. select the object then the transparency tool and just use the slider on the info bar to go to 100% transparency - the whole object disappears.

Select object - Click transparency tool (F6) - change mode to Flat - 100%

EDIT - Glenn beat me to it!

Thanks to both of you. Yes I was doing what you were saying Glen, dragging the tool. But F6 tip is helpful too, I know the shortcuts pop up but I don't take time to remember at this point. So thanks again to BOTH of you. I REALLY REALLY appreciate all the help.

I wrote a tutorial on transparency in which I tried to cover every feature the transparency tool offers. It should tell you everything you want to know.
