Hi folks, is there any demo-building software affiliated with Xara, or any that one might recommend? I have various demos i would like to build and while i have used PowerPoint in the past, i felt something better to show screens and how to use features would be in order, thanks kindly, drew..

    Hi Drew,

Most demos you see around here are text and screenshots. You can also do a movie of the action on the screen like the demos from xara Ltd. What did you have in mind?

Hey John, seems like a long time since we last chatted. I never realized we could do movies with Xara (unless that is outside software..)

I was passed a link to http://www.debugmode.com/wink/ that lead me to some very very cool software, and the best part, it is free! I was about to pay $99 for demo software until i found this. Cheers, drew..

    hi Drew,

If you want to use xara to create movies, then you are out of luck. The closet output you have in xara x1 is an animated .gif. i was not sure if you wanted to make a demo movie of xara, or use xara to make a movie. See what I mean?

hey John, i hear you.. and no, actually i was just looking for a basic demo-producing type of software, not actually connected with Zara. I thought perhaps the ever-helpful Zara crowd might know. So no worries either way. That link to Wink has given me the tool i wanted. Very very easy-to-use, so thanks kindly as always! drew..

I belive Xara Ltd. use Camtasia http://techsmith.com to produce their movies (not 100% sure).

I have used it for a couple of weeks at work to create some demos - and it's rock solid, and super easy to use. It's US $299 though...

If your free software does what you want, hey, go for it! Nothing beats "free!" http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

    Best of luck!
