I just downloaded Filter Forge, to put it through its paces.
I posted a larger version of the original here earlier.
Just one of the nine presets from the Tri-Colour filter.
I liked the effect. But I seem to be getting a lot of error messages
in Xara Xtreme 4, but not in PSP X. Anyone else notice this?
Saludos,
Bob.

I 've had the same problem, it doesn't seem to play well with Xara. When my free trial is up I don't think I'll be purchasing it. But I have been experimenting with using it to create Bitmap fills, I am working on a set of gemstone fills that when applied to a simple shape give the appearance of a sparkly gem

For the filterholics out there, why not try a small snifter of Repligator?
I have a photo taken many years ago with my very first digital camera
of the promenade at Aguadulce in Almeria Province in Southern Spain.
I think this is where filters come into their own, giving new life to tired
old photos I have version 11 of the program, and the latest (14) demo
is available from here Just hit F7 with a photo opened in the program for
random effects. Not every result will be good, I seem to have a success
rate of about 1 in 5. It does allow more user involvement by clicking on
the PRO menu. Go on, spoil yourself, maybe just a small one? Cost:30$ U.S.

A gold, jewel encrusted photo frame. I used eye candy chrome, and glass. The jewels are filled shapes and the photo is from Xara clipart.

If anybody needed a definition of the word "bling", I'd just show them this.
Love it. The chrome filter is very versatile, isn't it?
I've been delving a little deeper into Repligator. I thought this was a fairly convincing wind effect, produced by the motion blur filter.
