Xtreme4 still requires XPE for RedEye removal. (Note: Magix Photodesigner is slow & cumbersome and often crashes Xtreme when I try it's very poor redeye removal tool.)
If you have changed your bitmap editor to something other than XPE, then pressing the 'RedEye' tool in Photo Tools will open *that* new editor.
This may be fine, as your preferred editor may have a good redeye remover in anycase, however - there is a free redeye remover 'Photoshop Plugin' that works with Xtreme4 and somewhat faster than opening another large app just to remove redeye.
