VP5 examples (from when you first mentioned it Bob, I think) - no squatter punk dogs here
The original pic is a still made (if I remember rightly - only started 'cataloguing' less than a year ago) in Alchemy's Graphic Workshop Pro 3.

Xero Skycleaner plus fractal clouds fill. Overlayed edited pic on original because background peeped through bits of the gable end etc, and patched behind leading on chimneys (which I didn't need to do ) but still easier than cutting out the sky manually!

Filters Unlimited 2. Like it!! Some distortions render very jagged at edges - like crystal ball ... might be able to live with that - but there's so many filters (and more I've added for free) that it's got to be well worthwhile. Thanks again Bob!
Filters may be painting by numbers in some cases but can save busier people than myself a lot of time and fiddling I think ... pic#5 'sunshine' enhancement is just a couple of clicks for instance. And they're fun

The Skycleaner filter worked well, nice and subtle.
Only one word to describe the expression on Scamblesby's face - irascible.
I'd love a dog with an attitude like that.
Same patio photo with an adjustment to the gradients filter with the "intensity mapped to gradient" setting from Filters Unlimited 2.0.
Glad you managed to get the freebies too, John.
Saludos,
Bob.

The original on the left was taken on one of those days when the sky seemed to be colourless as the conditions were hazy. Xero Skycleaner to the rescue. For those of you who don't have the Xero filters, it can select the sky and will make it transparent so that a sky of your own choice will show through. Mine's a fractal cloud fill *too*.

Bob.
