The paint tools dont work all of a sudden? help please :(

Hi, im new here and i have just opened up PHOTO-PAINT X3 and all of a sudden the paint tools wont work for me. i've had Corel Photopaint X3 since Christmas 08 so this is weird to me. before Christmas this also happened with another Corel program which i just gave up on.

i really want some help of advice on how to solve this problem because i know this program is not cheap (for me) and i need some idea on how to make it run properly again. please.

once again i'm new here and all i ask is a simple idea of how to solve this - please use simple words because i'm not a computer wiz

Welcome to TG,

First of all, I'd check your computer date setting.
Next I would reinstall/repair X3..

And i made a typo, i meant christmas 07 but i guess its all fine now
