By using exactly the same (or very similar) font.

A gradient fill? The fill tool... The help files are also useful? Select the file tool - click an object and draw. Click the nodes to change the colour - click the line to add additional nodes.

Have you tried the http://www.xaraxone.com tutorials? Do a few - and you will learn a lot. Also, check the workbooks. Start here.

This thread is also now off-topic. Please, don't pour post covering all different issues in to a thread. Also, please, post in the correct forum - this has nothing to dio with Adobe Illustrator.
