Worked great for me earlier this morning (around 8:50am PDT). Downloaded and installed before I left for work and the activation worked just fine.
This signature would be seven words long if it was six words shorter.
Mine worked this morning EDT at 5:30ish...
must have been server overload.

I think someone in Xara forgot to turn their activation server on. They must have been flooded with queiries about this.
Activation finally went through for me this morning - it was activated at 7:15 AM EDT.
OK. Activation went through this morning.
Erik
I activated copies yesterday and today... no problems Must've been server problems....
Activations went through for me as well. Whatever was the problem the other night, it seems to be fixed!

I have just attempted and failed to activate my XX4.
My computer is not connected to the internet and with the problems I am having with my router I am not sure it will ever be connected.
This computer is the family computer and has the only household internet access.
This has not really been a problem with a pen drive and it also encourages me to venture downstairs to see the rest of the family from time to time.
Do I really need to be online?
True love is the ultimate truth
In short - yes
I don't think phone activation is an option with Xara,
Besides, activation is required each time to do a clean install.
Although 'sneakernet' is a tried and true file transfer technology, I think a PC without internet access is like a mobile (cell) phone you can only use for taking pictures or play music from.
If you can get TP-LINK brand hardware in your area, buy a Wireless Router and a Wireless USB adapter for your PC upstairs, they are quite cheap and very reliable, I use them and sell them - never had a problem with TP-LINK hardware in 3 years so far.
Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy a new router, then a router and a new adapter?
Wireless internet without security precautions is not the best idea... I think the techincal term for it is BOHICA...
But I come from an ECM background and know how easy it really is to exploit wireless devices.
