PSP7 automatically saves images as Paint Shop Pro files which means that every time I pass on an image I have to save it as jpeg so that I'm sure the recipient can see it. Is it possible to set PSP7 to save as jpeg by default?
TIA

I doubt it, if you edit a file and save as .jpg and not .psp, then you won't be able to re-edit it later. All programmes save in their native format, with options for additional exports etc.

There are 10 types of people in this world .... Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
has psp7 an export function you could use instead?
note if it is export for web - this might limit the resolution of your graphic so might not be acceptable?

Lizzie,
You can record JPEG-saving to a script and then quick-save images with assigned shortcut.
Well no But In general preferences . Dialogues and pallets You can check Use last type used. That will save as jpeg if you last saved as jpeg. The other and best way is to use File Export Jpeg Optimizer This allowes you to get the best quality against file size and of course always saves as Jpeg
that second option would be what I was thinking of .....

Hi Lissie,
I press F12 and save as file type .jpg
.jpg is remembered as the default save as type each time I press F12 thereafter (unless I change the file type again)
