Xx4 Activation

I paid for and downloaded XX4 and received an activation code.
I installed the program and tried activating. It wouldn't complete and said something about server unavailable and to check my connection.
I use Firefox as my default browser so changed default to IE with same result.
I have no problem accessing web stuff so wondered what is wrong? At other end and not me p'haps??

Hi Tao and Richard,
I have the same problem. I am using IE. The enter activation code window hangs and I have to force it to close.

I assumed that my previous activation of the first version 4.0 was causing the problem. I have uninstalled that copy. The new installed trial says 23 days left.

I have my CD product code but I am assuming that this will not work till I get my CD.

The trial appears to be activated but it would help if there was a method of definitely checking this. Or a statement saying that activation is complete and that there is no need to go through the exercise again.

Just a guess, but it may be the servers are receiving a hugh number of requests for activation.

I was able to successfully activate the March 28 version of XX4. But I run into the same problem with activation when I downloaded and installed the April 2 version on top of the original installation. I am from the USA.

Also in USA... XXP4 will not activate
Hangs on connecting to server even after turning off firewall.
Manual End Task to get out.
Tried 4 times before posting.

Is anyone still having this problem ? I had downloaded the latest version and installed it and activated earlier today. Im in the US and I had no problem.
