    edit EXIF data

    Hi to al

    Can anyone advise me how to delete EXIF files from images to get size down. And or how to compress my pics with psp 8 to 5o kg with making them thumbnail size as required by forum. Others post ordinarry sized images at this size but mine og down to tiny??? I have resolution on my camere set to the lowest.

    You can always try Irfanview. They have a simple resizer built into that viewer. Just do a google search for irfanview.

    Welcome to talkgraphics.

    Just did quick experiment in PSP 8 with a digital pic. Opened the pic. Then I chose Save As and selected the jpg file type. Then clicked on the Options button. On next popup I chose the Lossless option. Hit OK. Box came up stating the EXIF info would not be saved. So I guess that is one way.

    I suppose you could then resize the jpeg image to whatever you want.

    All it takes is a practice... lots and lots of practice. (a good digital camera helps, but is not required)

    When saving Jpegs using the optimizer or save as and save copy as you will see the options button and there by find a check box for Including or excluding Exif data

    Just a point about loss less Jpeg. Not all image editors can read it and the standard is not set in stone apart from which If you want loss less then jpeg is not the way to go Png Or Tiff will be better. and as for tiff using LZW loss less compression also does not save Exif
