updating an existing menu

When I update an existing menu MM 1.1 it saves it to the root dir instaed of the orginal place in the grpahics directory. I have to recreate the memu from the start button make a change, choose new, give it a new project name and choose the graphics directory AGAIN so it will overwrite the orginal. It doesn't remember the new name I gave the menu and it doesn't remember the location of the previously saved file. It will not allow me to change an existing menu location because I can't save as; It saves the changes but to a generic name and it chooses the place to save it(root). I have no input available to change that. If I am messed up tell me what I am doing wrong.... PLEASE

Did you ever find a solution to this? I can't seem to reload any changed menus and I have to start from scratch each time.
