    Default text colors with menu

I just started using Menu Maker free trial, when I veiw the menu I created in the Manu Maker screen it looks fine but when I put it on my website, I can't read the second level of the menu, it looks like the background and the text are the same color....

    Hi Charlie,

    Welcome to Talkgraphics.

I think the problem with the text color may be with Internet Explorer and one of it's security settings. Viewing your web page in other web browsers the text shows on the sub menus.

I'll try to find out what setting in IE may be causing the issue. If anyone may already know, please post.

It's possible that it is the font.
I would try a test with another font.

It's not the font, I tried a bunch of them, no difference.

Thumbs up Re: text colors with menu

    Got it....

There is a known problem at present with the sub menus of NavBars when italic fonts are used. Applying italic fonts to the sub menus causes font-style:italic; to be applied to the sub menu text and this prevents the sub menu text from being displayed.

This problem occurs when a XHTML or a HTML 4.01 DTD is applied to a web page such as:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

The workaround is to edit the NavBar and de-select the Italic button from the Menu Properties tab, prior to saving the NavBar and then uploading the associated files to your web server.
